How many 3 piece suits should you buy when you are setting up your own business? Is it necessary? What is the harm in wearing casual clothes to work? Well, nobody is going to bother whether you are working in formal clothes or whether you are working naked as long as you get the job done. However, it is important to have certain rules regarding attire and appearance when you are working in your own office.
One of the disadvantages of having a casual approach is that you may end up with a casual approach towards entire business. That is the reason why it is advisable to opt for formal wear for short period of time until you convince yourself that you are indeed serious about your business.
The seriousness should be reflected in not just attire but all other aspects of behavior as well. When do you land up at office? Do you sign in at the right time? Are you frequently and fashionably late? You are the boss and need not answer to any third person about your habit of coming late. However, your business will suffer because you will obviously not be giving attention to this important part of your life.
Once you succeed and earn profits consistently for a few years, you can afford to relax and break your own rules. However, the best way to enjoy respect and reputation in the world of businesses to follow your rules firmly and strictly until you make it big.
